ERBIL (Kurdistan24) – Pakistan announced on Saturday its unequivocal support for the Islamic Republic of Iran in the face of Israel’s military strikes, pledging to stand by its neighbor “in all possible ways” and framing Tehran’s retaliation as a legitimate act of self-defense.

“We stand with our neighboring country Iran in all possible ways,” Pakistani Defense Minister stated in an official declaration, reinforcing Islamabad’s strategic and political alignment with Tehran during the current escalation.

Sardar Fatehullah Khan Mian Khail, Chairman of the Defense Committee in Pakistan’s Parliament, echoed this position, expressing solidarity with Iran “in these difficult times” and calling for unity across the Islamic world. He denounced Israel’s actions as a “blatant violation of international norms” and urged the international community to take responsibility to halt the spiral of violence.

In a related development, Pakistani Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar held a phone conversation with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, reiterating Islamabad’s firm rejection of any infringement on Iranian sovereignty and expressing full solidarity.

Additionally, Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif issued separate statements condemning the Israeli strikes and urging the global community to take urgent action to hold the perpetrators accountable.

Pakistan’s support, coming from a nuclear-armed state, adds a new geopolitical dimension to the unfolding crisis and underscores the growing polarization in the region as hostilities between Iran and Israel reach new heights.
