Trump Urges Tehran Residents to Evacuate Amid Israeli Strikes on Iran

ERBIL (Kurdistan24) – U.S. President Donald Trump on Monday urged residents of Tehran to evacuate the city, as Israel launched a large-scale military assault on Iran, AFP reported.
Posting on his Truth Social platform during the G7 summit in Canada, Trump wrote:
“Iran should have signed the ‘deal’ I told them to sign. What a shame, and waste of human life. Simply stated, IRAN CAN NOT HAVE A NUCLEAR WEAPON. I said it over and over again! Everyone should immediately evacuate Tehran!”
According to CNN, a White House official said Trump’s social media post reflected the administration’s sense of urgency in urging Iran to return to negotiations, amid the ongoing tit-for-tat with Israel. The official added that Trump has been receiving continuous updates from Secretary of State Marco Rubio and senior officials while attending the G7 summit in the Canadian Rockies.
CNN also reported that earlier on Monday, a team from the network observed Vice President JD Vance, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Dan Caine, and other senior aides convening at the White House, indicating high-level coordination in response to the rapidly evolving situation.
Trump also indicated earlier in the day that a diplomatic initiative might follow soon after his departure from the G7 summit. “I think Iran basically is at the negotiating table where they want to make a deal, and as soon as I leave here, we’re going to be doing something,” he told reporters, as the Middle East crisis dominated summit discussions.
