ERBIL (Kurdistan24) – Israel's military announced on Friday that it struck dozens of targets in Tehran overnight, including what it described as a center for the "research and development of Iran's nuclear weapons project," as the two adversaries exchanged fire for the eighth consecutive day.

In a statement, the army confirmed that it had "completed a series of strikes in the heart of Tehran, targeting dozens of sites, including military missile production facilities and the SPND (Organization of Defensive Innovation and Research) headquarters involved in the research and development of Iran's nuclear weapons project."

On the morning of June 13, Israel launched an attack on Iran's nuclear facilities and ballistic missile factories using warplanes and drones, resulting in the deaths of several Iranian military leaders and atomic scientists.

In retaliation, Iran fired hundreds of ballistic missiles into Tel Aviv and Haifa late Friday night, destroying numerous buildings and homes. The attacks are ongoing.
