ERBIL (Kurdistan24) – According to Reuters the U.S used B-2 stealth bombers to carry out a massive strike on three key Iranian nuclear sites—Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan—in a coordinated air campaign described by both Washington and Tel Aviv as a major blow to Iran’s nuclear infrastructure.

In a series of statements on his Truth Social platform, U.S. President Donald J. Trump revealed that a “full payload of BOMBS was dropped” on Fordow, adding in a later post, “FORDOW IS GONE.” The president also announced he will address the nation at 10:00 p.m. from the White House, calling the event a “Historic Moment For The United States Of America, Israel, And The World.” He concluded his statement with a demand: “Iran Must Now Agree To End This War.”

Massive Payload and Coordinated Planning

According to a report by The New York Times, citing a senior U.S. official, more than 30 tons of bombs were used to destroy Iran’s underground nuclear facility at Fordow. Reuters further confirmed that B-2 fighter jets were deployed in the precision assault, marking one of the largest single strikes on Iran’s nuclear infrastructure to date.

Axios reported that Trump met with his national security team in the White House Situation Room late Saturday before authorizing the operation. Israeli officials told the outlet that they were notified in advance by the Trump administration, and that B-2 bombers were used in the assault.

Israeli Reaction: ‘Crippling Blow’ to Iran’s Nuclear Ambitions

Israeli Channel 14, quoting a senior Israeli source, said the operation dealt a “crushing blow to Iran’s nuclear program,” claiming there was “widespread destruction at all targeted nuclear sites.”

In his initial statement on social media, Trump hailed the success of the operation and congratulated U.S. forces, calling them “great American Warriors,” while asserting, “There is not another military in the world that could have done this.”

A Dramatic Escalation with a Call for Peace

While declaring the military operation complete and successful, Trump shifted tone at the end of his announcement, stating, “NOW IS THE TIME FOR PEACE!” The move appeared to signal a dual strategy of strength and diplomacy as tensions soar between Tehran, Tel Aviv, and Washington.

The full scope of Iran’s response remains unclear, but Trump’s aggressive military stance coupled with a call for negotiation marks a pivotal juncture in the rapidly evolving conflict. All eyes now turn to the White House for his scheduled address at 10:00 p.m. local time.
