PM Barzani, Jordanian Consul General Discuss Strengthening Bilateral Ties
During the meeting, Prime Minister Barzani expressed his gratitude to Consul General al-Majali for his efforts in strengthening ties during his tenure and wished him success in his future diplomatic assignments.
ERBIL (Kurdistan24) – Kurdistan Region Prime Minister Masrour Barzani met on Sunday with Jordanian Consul General Fuad al-Majali to discuss the state of bilateral relations and cooperation between the Kurdistan Region and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) said in a statement.
During the meeting, Prime Minister Barzani expressed his gratitude to Consul General al-Majali for his efforts in strengthening ties during his tenure and wished him success in his future diplomatic assignments. He also reaffirmed the strong and historic relationship between Jordan and the Kurdistan Region, praising King Abdullah II for his continued support of the Kurdish people.
The Prime Minister emphasized the importance of deepening economic, political, and cultural cooperation between both sides.
Consul General al-Majali, in turn, lauded the achievements of the KRG, particularly the reforms introduced by the ninth cabinet under Barzani’s leadership. He praised the coordination and support provided by KRG institutions, which he said were instrumental in the success of his mission in the Kurdistan Region.
The meeting highlighted the continued commitment of both sides to enhancing diplomatic and developmental ties.
