ERBIL (Kurdistan24) – U.S. President Donald J. Trump announced on Monday that Israel and Iran have reached an agreement on a “Complete and Total CEASEFIRE,” according to a statement published on his Truth Social account.
In the post, President Trump stated that both nations had agreed to implement a ceasefire to begin approximately six hours from the time of his message, following the completion of “in progress, final missions.” The initial 12-hour ceasefire would be led by Iran, followed by Israel commencing its own 12-hour ceasefire, culminating in what Trump described as the formal end of “THE 12 DAY WAR.”
“CONGRATULATIONS TO EVERYONE!” Trump wrote in the message, calling the development a significant diplomatic achievement. “On the assumption that everything works as it should, which it will, I would like to congratulate both Countries, Israel and Iran, on having the Stamina, Courage, and Intelligence to end, what should be called, ‘THE 12 DAY WAR.’”
Trump emphasized that the conflict, had it continued, "could have gone on for years, and destroyed the entire Middle East," but praised both sides for choosing a peaceful path.
“God bless Israel, God bless Iran, God bless the Middle East, God bless the United States of America, and GOD BLESS THE WORLD!” he concluded.
The post was published on Truth Social, the platform launched by Trump after his first-term presidency, and served as the primary source of the announcement.
