ERBIL (Kurdistan24) – An explosives-laden drone was neutralized near Erbil International Airport (EIA) in the early hours of Monday morning, according to a statement from the Kurdistan Region Directorate General of Counter-Terrorism (CTD).
The directorate reported that the incident occurred at approximately 2:20 AM. The drone was successfully disabled and brought down before it could reach its intended target.
Officials confirmed that the event resulted in no casualties or material damage. The situation was contained without any loss of life or harm to property.
