Masrour Barzani Offers Condolences to UAE Leadership Over Sheikh Ahmed bin Rashid’s Passing
Kurdistan Region prime minister extends condolences to Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and the UAE leadership, government, and people following the passing of Sheikh Ahmed bin Rashid Al Maktoum
ERBIL (Kurdistan24) — Kurdistan Region Prime Minister Masrour Barzani on Monday extended his condolences to Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and the United Arab Emirates following the passing of Sheikh Ahmed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
In a condolence message, Barzani expressed his “deepest condolences and sincere sympathy” to Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, as well as to the leadership, government, and people of the United Arab Emirates.
Barzani said he was deeply saddened by the death, asking God to grant the deceased mercy and forgiveness and to admit him to Paradise.
He also prayed for patience and strength for the deceased’s family, relatives, and loved ones during their bereavement.
The message concluded with the Islamic expression, “Indeed, we belong to Allah, and indeed to Him we will return.”
The United Arab Emirates and the Kurdistan Region have maintained close political and economic ties, with senior officials from both sides regularly emphasizing cooperation and mutual relations.
Dubai, in particular, has developed strong commercial and investment links with the Kurdistan Region, while the UAE has maintained diplomatic engagement with the Kurdistan Regional Government.
Masrour Barzani has on several occasions highlighted the importance of strengthening the Kurdistan Region’s relations with the UAE and other Gulf countries, particularly in the areas of investment, trade, economic development, and regional cooperation.
The UAE’s leadership, including Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, has also maintained relations with the Kurdistan Region officials. Barzani’s condolence message came as a gesture of solidarity with the UAE leadership and people following the death of Sheikh Ahmed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
