President Barzani Meets Maysan Delegation, Discusses Iraq’s Situation

ERBIL (Kurdistan24) — President Masoud Barzani received a senior delegation from Iraq’s Maysan province in Pirmam on Saturday, with discussions focusing on the country’s general situation and ways to strengthen coordination between Iraqi provinces and the Kurdistan Region.

According to a statement released by Barzani Headquarters on Oct. 10, the delegation was led by Maysan Governor Habib Zahir Fattousi and included provincial council chairman Mustafa Duair Mohammedawi and several members of the Maysan Provincial Council.

The meeting addressed the broader situation in Iraq, alongside coordination between the country’s provinces and the Kurdistan Region, the statement said.

The visit underscores engagement between officials from Iraq’s provinces and Kurdistan Region leadership on issues related to intergovernmental coordination and cooperation.
