ERBIL (Kurdistan24) — President Masoud Barzani met with Mazloum Abdi, an adviser to the Syrian president, in Erbil’s Pirmam district on Monday to discuss the latest political developments in Syria, regional affairs, and the future of Kurds in the country.

According to a statement from Barzani Headquarters, the meeting focused on Syria’s evolving political landscape, recent regional developments, and ongoing dialogue over the future of the Kurdish population in Syria.

The two sides also exchanged views on efforts to resolve outstanding issues through dialogue and to promote stability amid continuing political changes in Syria.

The meeting comes as questions surrounding Kurdish rights, political representation, and the future administrative and security arrangements in Syria remain central to discussions about the country’s post-conflict political order.

Relations between Kurdish political actors and Syria’s central authorities remain significant as negotiations continue over Kurdish rights, integration of security forces, and the country’s future governance arrangements.
