Ministry of Peshmerga approves plan of Military Inspection Directorate

ERBIL (Kurdistan 24) – The High Defense Councils of Peshmerga approved the plans of the General Military Inspection Directorate for 2022-2023, the Ministry of Peshmerga (MOP) announced on Monday.

On Monday, the Minister of Peshmerga Shorsh Ismail met with the General Military Inspection Directorate. He was accompanied by Deputy Minister Sarbast Lazgin, Secretary-General Lieutenant General Jabar Yawar Manda and Chief of Staff Lieutenant General Jamal Muhammad.

"The high meeting of the Defense Council was taken from the ministry to the General Military Inspection Directorate and there met with the general director of the inspection directorate and the deputy and high inspectors," the MOP said in a Facebook post.

The Minister of Peshmerga praised the work of the officers and employees of that directorate.

He aproved the General Military Inspection Directorate plan, "which will result in the development and success of the Peshmerga military units and establishments."

Colonel Todd Burroughs, Deputy Director of the US-led coalition's Military Advisor Group North, tweeted that the Peshmerga ministry made "significant progress approving the regulations and standards proposed by the Inspector General today."
