Syrian Democratic Council to open representative office in London

The SDC will establish a new representative office in the United Kingdom in March.

ERBIL (Kurdistan 24) – The political counterpart to the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), the Syrian Democratic Council (SDC), will open a UK office in London in March, the Syria-based Rojava Information Centre (RIC) reports.

The Autonomous Administration of Northeast Syria (AANES) and SDC also has offices in Sulaimani in the Kurdistan Region, Washington DC in the USA, Paris in France, Cairo in Egypt, Stockholm in Sweden, the Hague in the Netherlands, and Vienna in Austria, as well as in other countries.

Ilham Ahmed, the President of the Executive Committee of the Syrian Democratic Council (SDC), will reportedly be present at the opening ceremony in London on the 9th of March.

“The SDC is the main political body in NES (Northeast Syria), balancing the more administrative & executive roles of the AANES,” the Syria-based RIC said in a tweet.

“The SDC represents the SDF politically, while also being involved in state-centered diplomacy with Damascus & internationally.”
