ERBIL (Kurdistan24) – The Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) on Thursday has introduced a new website called Jobs.KRD aimed at connecting youth and job seekers with potential employers to facilitate the discovery and acquisition of employment opportunities.

The event, attended by several KRG officials, and foreign consuls, marked the commencement of this innovative project, designed to serve as a platform and intermediary between job seekers and employers seeking to identify and secure job opportunities. Simultaneous launch events took place in five different locations, namely Erbil, Sulaimani, Duhok, Halabja, and Zakho.

Several companies have registered on the Jobs.KRD website, presenting job opportunities. Job seekers, particularly young individuals and university graduates, can visit the website based on their preferences and expertise, identifying suitable opportunities, performing their job applications, and submitting their CVs

The primary objective of Jobs.KRD is to streamline the job search process for youth and job seekers in the Kurdistan Region.

Following the official project platform announcement, interested youth and job seekers can directly fill out a specialized form on the platform, initiating their registration within the platform's procedures.

This platform aims to expedite the job search process for young individuals, offering a variety of job packages and categorizing opportunities in both the public and private sectors based on specialties and needs.

The ninth cabinet of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) led by Kurdistan Region Prime Minister Masrour Barzani has prioritized private investment and the development of the private sector, including areas such as agriculture, local factories, and tourism.

The aim is to shift the focus away from oil resources and promote alternative economic growth.
