Kurdish artist finds fame through his paintings

ERBIL (Kurdistan24) – A Kurdish painter, Rahimo, who has been living in Herentals in Belgium, opened his art gallery.
The event was organized by the Hevi Organization to display the artist’s paintings.
Regarding the gallery, Rahimo told Kurdistan 24, “the purpose behind having these painting on display is to show both the beauty and the pain of Kurdish nation to the world.”
Rahimo was born in 1962 in Syrian Kurdish town of Amuda. He has been living in Belgium since 1991 and has had his art displayed in galleries throughout various European as well as Arab countries.
Rahimo has been able to win the award for the second best immigrant artist in Belgium.
