Kurdistan Region President, Bulgarian President discuss strengthening ties
Primarily, the discussions mainly aimed at improving the bilateral ties between Bulgaria, Iraq, and the Kurdistan Region in areas such as economy, trade, culture, sports, tourism, and agriculture.

ERBIL (Kurdistan 24) – During the second day of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum, Kurdistan Region’s President Nechirvan Barzani had discussions with Bulgarian President Rumen Radev in Antalya, Türkiye, on a Saturday morning, where they shared insights on recent developments in the region.
Primarily, the discussions mainly aimed at improving the bilateral ties between Bulgaria, Iraq, and the Kurdistan Region in areas such as economy, trade, culture, sports, tourism, and agriculture.

Additionally, the possibility of enhancing cooperation in the higher education sector and establishing direct flights between Bulgaria and Iraq, including the Kurdistan Region, was explored by both leaders.
Furthermore, President Barzani stressed the importance the Kurdistan Region places on its relationships with European partners and expressed a strong desire to increase collaboration with Bulgaria, an EU member country.
He also encouraged Bulgaria to upgrade its diplomatic presence in the Kurdistan Region to further solidify the relationship between the two.
President Nechirvan Barzani arrived in Antalya, Turkey, on Friday, where he will attend the Antalya Diplomacy Forum (ADF).
Over the course of the three-day conference, the President will engage in a series of meetings, focusing on the discussion of international relations and the situation in the wider region.
The participants of the conference will delve into a wide range of topics, including war, terrorism, migration, the impact of climate change, natural disasters, and numerous other pressing issues.
The discussions aim to foster a comprehensive understanding of these matters and explore potential solutions.
