ERBIL (Kurdistan24) - Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) Spokesperson Peshawa Hawramani announced that Prime Minister Masrour Barzani will visit Baghdad on Thursday for pivotal discussions with Iraqi officials.
The agenda includes resolving the ongoing issue of salaries for KRG employees, as well as matters related to oil, farmers' wheat, and other significant topics.

Spokesperson Hawramani emphasized that the discussions in Baghdad will focus on finding a fundamental solution to the salary problem for KRG employees and addressing unpaid salaries of the security forces. "We are committed to initiating every constructive dialogue," he stated.
The KRG has expressed a serious and sincere intention to resolve all issues with the federal government based on the constitution and to protect the rights of the people of the Kurdistan Region.
"Our approach is centered on constructive initiatives," Hawramani added.
Prime Minister Masrour Barzani of the Kurdistan Region is scheduled to visit Baghdad on Thursday, May 30, to hold crucial meetings with Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani, government officials, and political party leaders.

Prime Minister Masrour Barzani of the Kurdistan Region met with Iraqi National Security Advisor Qassem Al-Araji on Thursday, May 30, in Baghdad.
The meeting highlighted the importance of enhancing cooperation and coordination between the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) and the federal government.

In an official statement from the Kurdistan Regional Government, both leaders discussed the overall security situation in Iraq, focusing on the ongoing threat of terrorism.
"It is very normal for us to come to Baghdad to meet and discuss with all responsible officials to resolve the remaining issues. Our first meeting was with Mr. Qassem Al-Araji, the Iraqi National Security Advisor, who is our dear brother," Barzani said.
"We will meet with Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani and other officials of the Iraqi government and political parties to discuss some of the problems that remain between Erbil and Baghdad," he added.

Another purpose of his visit is to "strengthen the good relations that are now on their way."
In an statment posted on social media platform X, Prime Minister Barzani also reitirated that there will be no tolerance towards destablizing factors and that "We will not allow any group to destabilize our neighbors."
