Seven injured in Istanbul building collapse, two seriously
An investigation into the incident has been initiated, although the cause of the collapse remains unknown.
Erbil (Kurdistan24) – Seven people were injured, two of them seriously, when a four-storey residential building collapsed in Küçükçekmece in Istanbul's European section on Sunday morning, local media reported.
Emergency response teams, including police, civil defense, and search and rescue units, quickly arrived at the scene to assist in the rescue efforts.
Seven individuals have been pulled from the rubble, while rescue teams continue their efforts to save two others trapped beneath the debris.
An investigation into the incident has been initiated, although the cause of the collapse remains unknown.
"The building, constructed in 1988, collapsed for unknown reasons. We have not received any reports of fatalities. An investigation is underway," Istanbul Governor Davut Gül informed reporters on-site.
