ERBIL (Kurdistan24) – From 20 trillion and 900 billion Iraqi dinars for Kurdistan Region’s budge, 12 trillion is for the public sector’s employees’ payroll, almost 8 trillion is for the investment and other expenditure in the region, revealed by the sources in the budget amendments by the Iraqi Federal government.
The Iraqi Parliament will have a session on Monday for voting in regard to the treasury for year 2024, and the budget will be identified. It is mentioned by the members of the parliament that due to the disputes between the members of the financial board of the Ministry of Finances, the final treasury draft is not ready.
Regarding Haj (the annual pilgrimage season), 80 Iraqi MPs are going to make the journey to Macca to do the haj worship. It is thought the voting won’t be made in that circumstance.
The financial committee is said to meet up and finish the final report about the treasury for year 2024. The head of the committee revealed they are committed to do that and present the final draft to the parliament session.
