He also noted that they worked to get the budget law passed and voted on.
ERBIL (Kurdistan 24) – Shakhawan Abdulla, Deputy Speaker of the Iraqi Parliament, announced in a press conference on Monday that Kurdistan Region civil servant salaries were guaranteed to be dispatched.
“In our meeting with the Iraqi Parliament's Finance Committee, we concluded the issue and passed by a majority vote not to change the budget schedule, but we authorized the prime minister to use the amount of two trillion dinars," the Iraqi Parliament Deputy Speaker said.
He also noted that they worked to get the budget law passed and voted on.
“For daily expenditures, they have given the prime minister the authority to transfer two trillion dinars according to the law to fill the gaps in investment for consumption,” Abdulla added.
The Iraqi parliament is meeting to discuss General Budget Law No. (13) of 2024 as amended.
