Princess Royal Anne admitted to Southmead hospital after minor injuries, concussion on Monday
Buckingham Palace announced “The Princess Royal has sustained minor injuries and concussion following an incident on the Gatcombe Park estate yesterday evening”
ERBIL (Kurdistan 24) - The Princess Royal Anne was rushed to the Southmead hospital in Bristol in the UK, on Monday evening due to an incident believed to be a concussion and injured by a horse while walking.
She was admitted to the hospital, and according to a statement by the Buckingham Palace she’s expected to be in a comfortable position and to make the full recovery.
The Officials in the Buckingham Palace announced “The Princess Royal has sustained minor injuries and concussion following an incident on the Gatcombe Park estate yesterday evening. The King has been kept closely informed and joins the whole Royal Family in sending his fondest love and well-wishes to the Princess for a speedy recovery.”
The Princess is 73 years old, and is the sister of the King Charles III who officially became the King of the United Kingdom of the Great Britain in May 2023 on the death of his mother the Queen Elizabeth II in September 2022.
The Princess Royal was due to make a working journey to Canada later this week, but it’s postponed. She played a leading part in the Trooping the Color event last week.
According to the officials, her Royal Highness has one of the busiest working schedules of any member of the Royal Family. Also, to most famous British broadcasting and news corporations, the princess’ active role in the public engagement has been astonishing and often under the radar, but without receiving the attention others have.
Her Royal Highness is likely to stay in the hospital for this week, so all the public engagements have been postponed, including her trip to Scotland, Hampshire and Canada.
It has been a challenging year for the royals, The King’s diary is managed according to his health and the receipt of the cancer treatment, and the Princess of Walse Kate who is not back yet to the public because of the chemotherapy sessions she received after she was diagnosed with the cancer.
