ERBIL (Kurdistan24) – Prime Minister Masrour Barzani of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq (KRG) has inquired about the health of renowned activist Muhsin Dizayee, expressing his wishes for Dizayee's safety and well-being.
During an evening meeting in Erbil, Prime Minister Barzani met Muhsin Dizayee, a respected patriot and veteran political figure.
The Prime Minister asked about Dizayee's health and extended his best wishes for his recovery and health.
Muhsin Dizayee, born in 1932 in Erbil, has had a long and distinguished career.
After studying literature in Erbil and later law in Baghdad, Dizayee's political journey began in college, where he formed lasting connections with other Kurdish youth, many of whom are now prominent Kurdish personalities.
Following the fall of the monarchy and the return of Mullah Mustafa Barzani to Iraq in 1958, Dizayee became more active in politics.
He faced significant challenges, including arrest and relocation to Koya after the Ba'athist coup in 1963. Undeterred, he joined the Kurdish revolution, serving as a revolutionary judge and later as a member of the Revolutionary Leadership Council.
In 1966, with the support of Mullah Mustafa Barzani, Dizayee was appointed Minister of Northern Affairs during Abdulrahman Arif's government. Following another Ba'athist coup, he resigned due to conflicts between the Kurds and the Ba'athists.
Dizayee's diplomatic career included roles as Iraqi ambassador to Czechoslovakia and Canada. Upon returning to Iraq, he served as Minister of Construction and Housing.
Throughout his life, Dizayee remained a close associate of Mullah Mustafa Barzani, even during late Barzani's illness, demonstrating unwavering loyalty and support.
