Premier Masrour Barzani gave instruction to meet community needed-services, causes

The Minister of Education in the Kurdistan Region’s Government Alan Hama Saeed confirmed “BCF was a great support to the education sector. It donated more than 8 billion dinars to the education sector to help out building, reconstructing and adapting schools”.

ERBIL (Kurdistan 24) – The Head of Barzani Charity Foundation BCF Musa Ahmed announced in a press conference “More than 1 billion dinar is dedicated for the projects, to be met for the community, by the Barzani Charity Foundation. We are honored to always serve the education sector. It is one of the major targets for BCF.”

He underlined that the Head of the BCF board Masrour Barzani instructed the team in the foundation to whatever they can to serve important community causes. Especially, the education sector, the pupils in general and martyrs’ children, specifically.

Ahmed stated “We have made a strong link between the international doners, also organizations, charities within the Kurdistan Region and other well-known individuals, also all the parties, especially what is related to the education matters.”

He revealed that in the 9th Cabinet at the Kurdistan Region’s Government, they have had major and minor projects, with a budget of, estimated, 8 billion dinars.

Ahmed confirmed as well “We dedicated 20 million dinars budget to solar panel system, to provide to 10 schools. So, it is to supply 60-amp electricity which is estimated to be more than 14 thousand watts in total.”

“Regarding the schools’ renovation and reconstruction, there is a budget of 18 million and 480 thousand dinars to each school. Both of the projects cost 1 billion 211 million and 280 thousand dinars.”

The BCF with its partners reconstructed and built many schools, provided pupils’ needs as well building necessities, and a budget was spent encouraging pupils to continue their studying, also aiding the Kurdish people, internally displaced persons, asylum seekers and refugees.

He added “During the Covid-19 and economic crisis, BCF was the first organization to cooperate the Ministry of Education in the study process.”

“Last year BCF dedicated more than 2 million dollars for some of the schools that were outside the KRG’s administration, as well as fixed the problem of schools’ 3 shifts per day.” Saeed continued.

He also said “In that cabinet, with the BCS’ aid we were capable of sorting the issue of the 3 shifts per day schools, it was reduced from 139 to 11 schools. The renovation is for 50 schools”
