Erbil National Arts Troupe Honored at Czech Festival

On Saturday, Himdad Lashkari, Director of Culture and the National Arts Troupe of Erbil, shared with Kurdistan 24 that the troupe represented Kurdistan with its flag and six distinctive performances.

ERBIL (Kurdistan 24) – The Erbil National Arts Troupe received accolades from both the Mayor and the President of the Czech Festival during their participation in the "Art of Nations" event in the Czech Republic.

On Saturday, Himdad Lashkari, Director of Culture and the National Arts Troupe of Erbil, shared with Kurdistan 24 that the troupe represented Kurdistan with its flag and six distinctive performances.

"Eighty countries participated in the festival. We participated as a national art troupe in all the cities of the country with several performances. More than 3,000 people attended the event, including many people inside and outside the open hall," Lashkari explained.

The troupe was warmly received on the second day of the festival, with the Mayor and the President of the festival presenting several gifts.

Additionally, the Czech Consul extended an invitation to the Erbil National Arts Troupe to participate in the Czech People's Arts Festival, scheduled to take place from June 23 to July 2, 2024, with over 80 countries expected to join.
