Erbil celebrates French National Day
Yann Braem, the French Consul General in the Kurdistan Region, delivered a speech in which he warmly welcomed President Barzani and expressed his delight in the ongoing partnership and relations between France and the Kurdistan Region.

ERBIL (Kurdistan24) – The French Consulate General in Erbil on Sunday celebrated French National Day in the presence of Masoud Barzani, President of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP).
Every year on July 14, France and its diplomatic missions worldwide commemorate French National Day. Similarly, France celebrates this day in Erbil.
Yann Braem, the French Consul General in the Kurdistan Region, delivered a speech in which he warmly welcomed President Barzani and expressed his delight in the ongoing partnership and relations between France and the Kurdistan Region.
"I have served as the French Consul General in the Kurdistan Region for eight months and I have witnessed the profound friendship between the French and Kurdish people across various fields, including politics, security, culture, education, economy, and science," he stated.
Regarding this year's activities, Braem mentioned, "In September, an economic forum will be held between the Kurdistan Region and France to strengthen relations between companies from both countries further. The French Institute in Erbil will also renew its programs and carry out activities in various domains."
