ERBIL (Kurdistan 24) – It was the first day of UK Parliament debate, in which both houses of parliament gathered on Wednesday July 17 at 14:30 GMT. As per the general election campaign 2024, Sir Starmer promised the British people that his party will be a government to serve the people and make rules to provide prosperous life to all UK community.

The King arrived in the parliament building on Wednesday to deliver his speech, all the lords and members of parliament (MPs) attended the ceremony to witness his speech of reading out the bills that set by his government.  

The UK’s new government set out 40 bills, all the new rules apply to each sector and service separately. The Lib Dim political party confirmed to scrutinize the government performance.

With the King’s approval, the main mission of focusing on securing economic growth was announced.

The strategy and rules are to rising living standards in the UK, work pay, harness employment rights and protection as well as Pension scheme.  

The King announced all the legislations, starting from the transport, to establish a Great British Railways and bring train operators into public ownership. Plans for the global warming challenge, to bring the energy sector to a publicly owned Clean Power Company that headquartered in Scotland.

The UK stepping up more to the clean energy, and to the transition stage to the renewable energy.

Another legislation introduced for rights and protection for people who are renting homes. The other bill to cover water service and its quality, by putting tough and special measurements on the water companies.

New regulations to grant powers to metro mayors and local authorities,

There was a bill to remove Right-of Hereditary-Peers to sit in Lords’ house, as well as to remove exemption of Value Added Tax to private schools’ fees.

A legislation was set to increase the age to be able to buy cigarettes.

Modern rules set to tackle immigration, asylum and securing country’s border.

As well as there is a new legislation for community police, to street security and safety, tackling anti-social behavior.

Legislation to bring plans forward for women and girls.

Legislation for Terrorism, Education for children also wellbeing and mental health of children in the school and education process.

Legislation set to establish new regulations to football and sports, national health service, reducing long waiting-time, junk food, caffeine in the food and drink.  

Draft will be put forward for the armed forces and their families, full support to Ukraine and working to improve UK’s relationship with EU.

Bill introduced to handle the security and stability issues for the middle east.

Changes will be subjected to the assessment by the Office Budget Responsibility.

After delivering his speech, the King headed back to Buckingham Palace for the second speech.
