ERBIL (Kurdistan24) - The salaries and assistance from the International Coalition for June were distributed digitally through the 'MyAccount' system in Erbil province today.

The 'MyAccount' team announced that starting next month, salaries will be distributed and received fully digitally. Employees in Duhok and Sulaimani provinces will also participate in this process.

Today, at 12 noon, salaries were deposited into the Joint Brigade's bank accounts, and SMS notifications were sent to inform members to collect their salaries. Members of the Joint Brigades can receive their salaries at 34 different locations using approximately 100 devices in Erbil province.

Several salaried employees expressed their satisfaction with the 'MyAccount' system. One Peshmerga shared, "This is the first time since becoming a Peshmerga that I have readily received my salary without waiting in line." Another added, "For 33 years, I've endured great fatigue and suffering to get my salary, but this time it was easy and quick through a 'MyAccount' ATM."

The distribution covered about 12,000 Joint Brigade members in Erbil province. Notably, only 2,500 dinars were deducted from salaries at 'MyAccount' ATMs, compared to more than 6,500 dinars at Iraqi government banks.

One Peshmerga praised the system, saying, "MyAccount is the best system for receiving salaries. I congratulate Prime Minister Masrour Barzani and the Kurdistan Regional Government. I hope all employees register for this project soon." Another Peshmerga emphasized the efficiency, stating, "In two minutes, I got two salaries."

According to the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG), more than 400,000 employees have registered with the 'MyAccount' project. There are currently 231 ATMs across the Kurdistan Region, and the number is planned to increase to about 1,000 by the end of 2024.

Eight banks are involved in the 'MyAccount' project: RT Bank, Cihan Bank, Bank of Baghdad, BBAC (a Lebanese bank), National Bank of Iraq, Islamic Bank of Iraq, Trade Bank of Iraq (TBI), and International Development Bank (IDB).
