ERBIL (Kurdistan24) – The Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) President Masoud Barzani met with Pakistani Ambassador to Iraq, Muhammad Zeeshan Ahmad, on Tuesday in Pirmam.
The meeting focused on enhancing bilateral relations between Pakistan and the Kurdistan Region across various sectors.
Ambassador Ahmad expressed his satisfaction with the progress, peace, and prosperity witnessed in the Kurdistan Region.
He extended his congratulations to the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) and its leadership, emphasizing Pakistan's interest in deepening cooperation with the Kurdistan Region in areas such as trade and culture.
During the discussion, both leaders also addressed the broader political landscape in Iraq and the region.
They examined the relationship between the Kurdistan Regional Government and the Federal Iraqi Government and discussed the ongoing threat of terrorism at both the regional and global levels.
