KRG awaits clarity on Iranian President's visit, expresses concerns over salary delays
"While the former Iranian president had planned a visit to Iraq and the Kurdistan Region before his passing, it remains uncertain whether the new president will include the Kurdistan Region in his upcoming trip to Iraq,” Safeen Dizayee stated.

ERBIL (Kurdistan24) - Safeen Dizayee, Head of the Department of Foreign Relations for the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG), stated on Thursday that they have not received any information regarding a potential visit to Erbil by the Iranian president.
He also voiced concerns over delays in salary payments to KRG employees, despite resolutions in both the budget and court.
On the subject of the Iranian president's visit, Dizayee told Kurdistan24, "We have not been informed about the schedule of the Iranian president's visit to Erbil. While the former Iranian president had planned a visit to Iraq and the Kurdistan Region before his passing, it remains uncertain whether the new president will include the Kurdistan Region in his upcoming trip to Iraq.”
Addressing the issue of salaries and financial entitlements for the Kurdistan Region, Dizayee remarked, “This matter has been resolved in both the budget law and the court. The current problems and obstacles seem to be partly excuses over minor details. All necessary information and requirements have been provided to the Iraqi government. We expected the monthly salaries to be paid without issues, rather than becoming a recurring subject of discussion and negotiation. From now on, the issue of salaries should not be a topic of debate.”
Additionally, Dizayee reaffirmed the KRG's clear stance on the development road project, emphasizing the importance of its inclusion in the Kurdistan Region. He believes this project will undoubtedly benefit neighboring countries as well.
These statements underscore the KRG's commitment to open communication and its expectations for adherence to agreements regarding both regional relations and financial entitlements.
