KDP President Masoud Barzani,  Basem al-Badry discuss strengthening KRG-Federal government relations, accountability, justice

ERBIL (Kurdistan24) – President Massoud Barzani met with Dr. Basem al-Badry, Chairman of the Commission for Accountability and Justice, in Pirmam on Tuesday to discuss improving relations between the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) and the Iraqi Federal Government, and addressing key issues between the two administrations.

According to a statement from Barzani's headquarters, the meeting focused on the commission's work and responsibilities, with Chairman al-Badry emphasizing the importance of conducting their affairs professionally and without political interference.

He highlighted the many victims in the Kurdistan Region who suffered under the former Iraqi regime’s policies, noting the commission’s commitment to helping them seek justice and address their demands.

The discussions also centered on enhancing relations between the KRG and the Federal Government, with both parties stressing the need for greater coordination and efforts to overcome the existing obstacles that hinder cooperation.
