Zankoline was activated at 12 p.m. on Saturday

The spokesman of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research said that Zankoline will be officially launched for graduates of 12 high schools today at 12 noon

ERBIL, Kurdistan Region (Kurdistan 24) – Abbas Akram, the Spokesperson of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research at the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG), on Saturday satetd to Kurdistan 24 “the Zankoline officially launched for graduates of Grade 12 of high schools, today at 12 p.m. noonday”

Akram said “all the 12th grade graduates can log in at 12 noon with their school’s unique username and password that they received from their school before, and formally fill in the online applications from the website regayzanko.com, which will be valid for 10 days”

He explained Zankoline is different this year, it will be available to students with an updated version. One of the most important update is whether a student has a high score of 10 and 11, then it will be counted, but if the score is low, then won’t be counted.

The Kurdish and Arabic subjects are also optional. If the grade is high, then will be counted, otherwise, it will not be.

He gave more clarity about the system which has all the details about the application, the requirements and guidelines are available too.

As well as the admission guide is available for the students once they enter the system, there will be an access to all the information needed to fill in the application. All the universities and colleges can be seen depending on the cities the students choose to study in or they from.

Students can save their work and not to submit all in one go, when they choose the options and save for later.

According to Mr. Akram, applicants should pay attention and carefully filling the applications then to submit. The Ministry of Higher Education is not responsible for any mistakes and shortcomings, when filling out the application form by centers of business or commercial centers.

The spokesman of the Ministry of Higher Education said “the Ministry of Higher Education announced consultation centers and specific agencies, who have been opened for universities in Kurdistan, it is to assist and guide the students when they apply, to avoid any mistakes.

Mr. Akram stressed that the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research is trying to provide a lot of opportunities for the academic year 2024-2025, i.e. to provide fee-free education for grade 12 high school graduates.

If a student is interested in a subject, but has not scored enough grades, they can apply for the Parallel Studies, which this year offers a 45% discount.

About 70 billion dinars will be saved by students' families annually due to discounts on parallel and evening tuition fees.
