Pope Francis urges International Community to deescalate tensions in Lebanon
“I am deeply concerned and saddened by the incidents in Lebanon. The bombings caused many civil casualties in the recent days” Pope Francis said in a message.

ERBIL, Kurdistan Region (Kurdistan 24) – The sources revealed that Pope called on the international community from U.N. General Assembly, to deescalate the tensions in Lebanon.
“I am deeply concerned and saddened by the incidents in Lebanon. The bombings caused many civil casualties in the recent days” Pope Francis said in a message “I hope the international community will take steps to ease the dangerous tensions in Lebanon,”
Pope expressed his worries for the Lebanese people who suffered very much in the past, and he’s offering his prayers to those are affected by the war in Lebanon, as well as for the victims in Israel, Sudan, Palestine and Ukraine.
The Israeli army announced that it had bombed more than 300 Hezbollah positions in the eastern and southern central sectors of Lebanon.
Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Galant told Israeli Channel 12 that what is happening in southern Lebanon is "a new phase of war" and called on Lebanese citizens to leave.
