KDP Vice President met with young KDP supporters in Erbil
Barzani emphasized that while some political parties have attempted to "disappoint the youth of the Kurdistan Region," the KDP remains committed to restoring hope across the region.

ERBIL (Kurdistan24) - Masrour Barzani, Vice President of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP), met with young supporters on Wednesday to rally backing for the party’s List 190 in the upcoming Kurdistan Region parliamentary elections. Addressing the crowd, Barzani expressed confidence in achieving a significant victory, saying, "With your votes, God willing, we will achieve the greatest victory in this election."
Barzani emphasized that while some political parties have attempted to "disappoint the youth of the Kurdistan Region," the KDP remains committed to restoring hope across the region. He called the upcoming elections "decisive" and urged all political parties to conduct their campaigns with civility and respect for democratic principles.
Reflecting on past successes, Barzani attributed the KDP's continuous electoral victories to its strong connection with the people of the Kurdistan Region. “The election results show which party and decision the citizens of the Kurdistan Region are with,” he said. He further highlighted the unique role of the KDP, stating, "We have achieved a lot alone, but no other party has been able to achieve without the KDP."
Barzani reiterated the party’s long-standing commitment to peace and cooperation, rejecting the notion of gaining support through fear or aggression. "We have never been belligerent; we have always called for peace and wanted to move Kurdistan forward through peace and working together," he said.
He also cautioned those targeting the KDP for political gain, reminding them to "know your limits" and to leave room for forgiveness in the future.
"They have raised slogans, telling us, 'We will bring an end to it.' But what exactly do they intend to end? Will they dismantle the structure of the Kurdistan Region? The pride of the Peshmerga? Our prosperity? What is it they claim to bring to an end? Our response is simple: 'They cannot!'" KDP Vice President added.
