ERBIL (Kurdistan24) – On Monday, Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) Vice President Masrour Barzani will lead a major campaign rally in Zakho city as part of the election drive for the sixth session of the Kurdistan Parliamentary elections.

The event will show support for KDP’s List 190, marking a crucial moment in the party's bid for electoral success.

During two separate meetings held on Sunday in Duhok with university teachers and youth, Barzani confidently expressed that the KDP is set to secure the top position in the upcoming parliamentary elections.

Speaking to the youth, he reaffirmed the party's leadership role in the Kurdistan Region, stressing that the KDP would maintain its position as the leading political force under the guidance of President Masoud Barzani.

“The KDP was not established to compete with any political party but to stand against oppression and occupation,” Barzani declared. “Since its founding, it has remained united and free, and with the support of God and the beloved people of Kurdistan, it grows stronger by the day.”

The sixth session of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) parliamentary elections is set to take place on October 20, marking a pivotal moment in the region's political landscape.
