ERBIL (Kurdistan24) – The second Barwari Bala Domestic Products Festival is set to take place from October 10 to 13 in the village of Brifka, Duhok province.

The festival will showcase local farmers' products alongside an array of artistic activities and a photography exhibition.

Fahmi Balaei, spokesperson for the Barwari Bala Domestic Products Festival, highlighted the event’s growth compared to last year.

"This year's festival will be different, with 100 tents set up to display local products. A free market and a special space for a restaurant selling Kurdish food will also be featured," Balaei told Kurdistan24.

The festival is part of the ninth cabinet’s efforts to promote local agriculture and market products from the Kurdistan Region, both domestically and for export. In addition to the display of farmers' goods, an artistic program will bring together talent from across all four parts of Kurdistan.

The event will feature notable participants, including:

- From Eastern Kurdistan: Artistic Women's Group of Sina

- From Western Kurdistan: Artist Sefqan Orkêş

- From Southern Kurdistan: Hassan Sharif, Duhok National Group, and a Christian Group

- From Northern Kurdistan: Hozan Sarvan and the Gavar Art Group

A photography exhibition will also be held, displaying images of tourist attractions in the Kurdistan Region, local products, archaeological sites, and women's handicrafts.

The three-day festival aims to promote the region’s rich agricultural, cultural, and artistic heritage while providing a platform for local farmers to expand their markets.
