ERBIL (Kurdistan24) – Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) Vice President Nechirvan Barzani on Thursday issued a video message encouraging voters to support the KDP in the upcoming parliamentary elections in the Kurdistan Region, set for October 20.

In his statement, Barzani urged citizens to vote for List 190 of the KDP, highlighting the party's long-standing commitment to the welfare of the Kurdish people. "Dear citizens, on October 20, vote for the list that serves you and Kurdistan. Vote for List 190 of the KDP," he stated.

Barzani emphasized the KDP’s historical role in safeguarding the Kurdish people, noting that the party has consistently worked to provide security, prosperity, and development across the Kurdistan Region. “Wherever there is the KDP, there is security, prosperity, and construction. We have secured jobs, homes, and the future for families and children,” he said.

Reaffirming the party's dedication to action and responsibility, Barzani described the KDP as a party of deeds, not empty promises. He cautioned against parties that rely on slogans, explaining, "Unfounded words and promises are easy to make, but the KDP has always been a party of work and action. For us, service, security, prosperity, life, and progress are at the core of our mission."

Barzani also underscored the KDP's role in protecting Kurdistan's achievements and promoting coexistence, tolerance, and mutual respect among all religious and ethnic communities in the region. Despite challenges, he noted, the KDP has made significant strides in improving the region and remains committed to further advancing Kurdistan.

Looking ahead, Barzani expressed the KDP’s desire to continue serving the people and addressing the region’s issues. "The KDP looks forward to the trust and support of the Kurdish people to continue working and serving, solving shortcomings and outstanding issues," he added.
