The event, organized by the Independent High Electoral Commission of Iraq and the Department of Non-Governmental Organizations of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG), highlighted the importance of fair and transparent elections.
Falah Hassan, head of the KRG's Department of Non-Governmental Organizations, praised the role of both international and local organizations in previous electoral processes in the Kurdistan Region. He emphasized the crucial role these organizations will play in observing the upcoming parliamentary elections.
"Historically, the people of Iraq as a whole have faced challenges regarding the mechanisms and transparency of elections in the country," Hassan stated. "We aspire to conduct a free, fair, and successful election."
