6th Round of the Parliamentary General Election in Kurdistan Region began

The election voting supervised by the Iraqi Independent High Election Commission (IHEC), it will last until 18:00 p.m. (Kurdistan Region local time).

ERBIL, Kurdistan Region (Kurdistan 24) – Casting of the special voting process for the 6th Round of the Parliamentary General Election in Kurdistan Region has begun on Friday from 07:00 am (Kurdistan Region local time). 

The special voting day includes Peshmerga, army civil servants, security and police forces.

The election voting supervised by the Iraqi Independent High Election Commission (IHEC), it will last until 18:00 p.m. (Kurdistan Region local time).

According to IHEC, the total number of voters for the 6th Round of the Parliamentary General Election in Kurdistan Region is Two million 889 thousand 878 voters, including 215 thousand 960 special voters, they are casting their votes today.

Number of special services’ voters by constituency:

Erbil constituency: 89 thousand 791

Sulaimani Constituency: 78 thousand 661

Duhok constituency: 46 thousand 556

Halabja Constituency: 952

165 polling stations have been designated in the Kurdistan Region and 12 more in the other cities in Iraq for that special vote:

Erbil Constituency: 62 polling stations

Sulaimani Constituency: 57

Duhok Constituency: 33

Halabja: One station

Mosul: Four

Baghdad: Three

Kirkuk: One

Anbar: One

Salahaddin: One

Diyala: One

Wast: One

The 6th Round of the Parliamentary General Election in Kurdistan Region is next Sunday, October 20th, 2024.

The IHEC confirmed to announce the preliminary voting results in 24 hours after the completion of the voting process.
