ERBIL, Kurdistan Region (Kurdistan 24) – The Commander Lieutenant General, Sihad Barzani of the Support Forces One, cast his vote in a polling station in Erbil on Friday morning.
In an interview by Kurdistan 24, Sihad Barzani the Commander Lt Gen stated “I ask my Peshmerga brothers to go to the polling stations, in a peaceful and orderly manner, give their inaugural Kurds’ vote, and show the world it’s been a democratic process”

Casting of the special voting process for the 6th Round of the Parliamentary General Election in Kurdistan Region has begun on Friday from 07:00 am (Kurdistan Region local time).
The election voting supervised by the Iraqi Independent High Election Commission (IHEC), it is said that it will last until 18:00 p.m. (Kurdistan Region local time).
The 6th Round of the Parliamentary General Election in Kurdistan Region is next Sunday, October 20th, 2024.
According to the IHEC, the total number of voters 2 million, 889 thousand and 878 voters, including the 215960 from the special voters (Peshmerga and all other security forces) who have started heading to polling stations from early Friday morning.
