Erbil Governor announces formation of operations room ahead of general voting process

ERBIL (Kurdistan24) - Erbil Governor Omed Khoshnaw announced on Friday the establishment of an operations room to oversee the general voting process for the regional elections.

This announcement came during a press conference where Khoshnaw provided updates on the election preparations and progress.

"All necessary preparations have been made for today's special voting, and we are equally prepared for the general vote," Khoshnaw stated, emphasizing that the voting process has been running smoothly since the early morning hours.

The governor highlighted the high efficiency, calmness, security, and freedom characterizing the electoral process. He revealed that Erbil hosts 48 election centers dedicated to special voting, with over 88,000 special voters registered in the city.

Khoshnaw elaborated on the formation of a special operations room within the governorate office to manage the election process.

"The electoral commission will be participating with us, along with representatives from various entities, to resolve any potential issues or glitches," he added.
