ERBIL (Kurdistan24) - The Erbil General Directorate of Health has announced comprehensive medical preparations for Sunday's Kurdistan parliamentary elections, with 34 emergency medical teams on standby throughout the voting process.
Speaking to Kurdistan24 on Saturday, Dr. Dlovan Mohammed, Director General of Erbil Health, detailed that 24 rapid response teams will be deployed across Erbil city, with an additional 10 teams stationed at hospitals.
"I will personally be on call, and we have established four main response points around Erbil," Dr. Mohammed explained. "These are strategically located in central Erbil, the Khabat area, Erbil Plains and its surroundings, and Shaqlawa."
Sarkar Surchi, spokesperson for the Kurdistan Regional Government's Ministry of Health, provided additional details about the medical preparations: "All hospitals, health centers, and emergency departments will be operational from 6:00 AM, with ambulances stationed near polling centers and patrolling public areas until the completion of the voting process."
