Iraqi President casts vote in Kurdistan Parliamentary Elections, urges strong civic participation

ERBIL (Kurdistan 24) – Iraqi President Abdul Latif Rasheed cast his ballot in the Kurdistan Region parliamentary elections on Sunday, while encouraging citizens to participate in this democratic process.
Iraq's President Rasheed exercised his voting right at a designated polling station established in the Rashid Hotel in central Baghdad. During his visit to the polling station, the Iraqi President emphasized the crucial role of elections in maintaining a democratic society.
"The electoral process is essential for the continuation of democracy in our society," Iraq's President Rasheed told reporters. He expressed his hope for "strong participation and proper consideration of citizens' demands in the Kurdistan Parliament elections."
The Iraqi President extended his gratitude to all participants in the electoral process, including organizations, institutions, and the Independent High Electoral Commission. He specifically called upon citizens to "take part in the elections," highlighting the importance of civic engagement in this democratic exercise.
