ERBIL, Kurdistan Region (Kurdistan 24) – The general voting process for the sixth round of the Parliamentary general election started from 7:00 a.m. on Sunday (Kurdistan Region local time).
Two million 686 thousand 578 voters are eligible to vote over the four constituencies: Erbil, Duhok, Sulaimani and Halabja.
An elderly resident from Semel told Kurdistan 24 “I am very happy today, I woke up early in the morning to be the first to vote and arrived at the polling station before 07:00, but I saw people came before me, they were cleverer than me, we voted anyway and made our consciences comfortable.”
According to his belief all the people who have the right to vote in this general election, should do, and considers voting as national and worshiping in religion.
Another resident from Semel told Kurdistan 24 “this vote is important and decisive, if the voter does not participate today, others will decide the fate and govern the next four years instead, so it is very important for everyone to participate.”
At a polling station in Erbil, a voter talked to Kurdistan 24 correspondent “I came to this polling station from 06:30 a.m., thank God I voted for peace, prosperity, stability and resistance, gave my vote to the list 190 which is the Kurdistan Democratic Party.”

A voter from Zakho talked to Kurdistan 24 “the voting process is being conducted in a very orderly manner and I voted within a few minutes”
