KDP recorded victory, it leads all other political parties in Kurdistan Region

The preliminary results have shown that Kurdistan Democratic Party won by a landslide, and is leading ahead of all other political parties in Kurdistan Region.

ERBIL, Kurdistan Region (Kurdistan 24) – The general voting process for the sixth round of the Parliamentary General Elections in the Kurdistan Region, successfully took place on Sunday, October 21st, 2024. 

The results are going to be officially announced on Monday 22nd, 2024 by the Iraqi Independent High Election Commission (IHEC). 

The preliminary results have shown that Kurdistan Democratic Party won by a landslide, and is leading ahead of all other political parties in Kurdistan Region. 

Number of General Voters by Constituency:

Erbil Constituency: 933.115 voters

Sulaimani Constituency: 1.008.412 voters

Duhok Constituency: 682.791 voters

Halabja Constituency: 59.300 voters

Dividing the Kurdistan Parliamentary seats depending on the constituencies:

Erbil Constituency: 32 seats

Sulaimani Constituency: 36 seats

Duhok Constituency: 24 seats

Halabja Constituency: Three seats

Total: 95 seats

Dividing the Parliamentary seats on to the provinces:

Erbil Constituency: Two seats

Sulaimani Constituency: Two seats 

Duhok Constituency: One seat

Total: 5 seats
