Tragic day in Basra as 20-year-old takes own life, youth drowns, as Baghdad reports motorcycle collision

ERBIL (Kurdistan24) - Local authorities in Basra province have reported multiple incidents, including the death of a 20-year-old man by suicide.

A security source stated, "A 20-year-old youth was found dead in his home in northern Basra after hanging himself." The source added that "the motive for the suicide remains unclear to security agencies, and the body has been transferred to forensic medicine to complete legal procedures."

In a separate incident in Basra, another source revealed, "One youth drowned while swimming with three others in the river at Karma Ali area. The body has been recovered."

Meanwhile in Baghdad, a local source reported, "Three people were injured in a collision between two motorcycles near Hamad Shahab village in the Tarmiyah suburb north of Baghdad."

The source confirmed that "the injured have been transferred to hospital for treatment."
