Kurdish Yezidi politician wins third term in Georgian Parliament

According to initial results announced by Georgia's Central Election Commission on Oct. 26, the ruling "Georgian Dream" maintained its majority in parliament, with Daseni successfully retaining his seat.

ERBIL (Kurdistan24) – Isko Daseni, a Kurdish Yezidi politician from Georgia, has secured his third consecutive term in the Georgian Parliament following preliminary results from Saturday's parliamentary elections.

According to initial results announced by Georgia's Central Election Commission on Oct. 26, the ruling "Georgian Dream" maintained its majority in parliament, with Daseni successfully retaining his seat.

Political Career Milestones:

- First elected to parliament on Oct. 8, 2016, as a Georgian Dream candidate

- Won re-election on Oct.  31, 2020, for his second term

- Secured historic third term on Oct.  26, 2024

Daseni, born on March 30, 1958, in Tbilisi, has made history as a representative of Georgia's Kurdish Yezidi community, consistently serving in the country's legislature since his first election in 2016.
