Final election results unchanged after complaint review

ERBIL (Kurdistan24) - According to Kurdistan24 sources, the final results of the Kurdistan Region Parliament elections will remain unchanged after all electoral complaints were reviewed and resolved.

The seat distribution among political parties will stay as initially reported.

Jumana al-Ghalai, spokesperson for Iraq's Independent High Electoral Commission (IHEC), confirmed to Kurdistan24 that the final results will be announced tomorrow at 10:00 AM at IHEC's central committee headquarters in Erbil.

Following tomorrow's announcement, which will include the names of successful candidates, there will be a three-day period for any final appeals against the results.

The electoral process included two phases:

- Special voting on Oct. 18, with over 215,000 security personnel participating, including Peshmerga, Asayish, police, and Interior Ministry forces

- General voting on Oct. 20, with 2,686,578 registered eligible voters
