ERBIL (Kurdistan24) — The Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) is establishing a specialized committee to lead negotiations with other political parties regarding the formation of the Kurdistan Regional Government's (KRG) tenth cabinet, Kurdistan24 has learned.

According to exclusive information obtained by Kurdistan24, the committee will be headed by Hoshyar Zebari, a member of the KDP Political Bureau's Executive Body.

The negotiating team includes several high-ranking KDP officials, including members of the Political Bureau, provincial organization offices' heads, and Central Committee members.

The committee is expected to begin its rounds of talks with other political parties after the Independent High Electoral Commission (IHEC) resolves any remaining appeals regarding the recent parliamentary election results.

This development comes in the wake of the Kurdistan Region's sixth parliamentary elections, where preliminary results showed significant voter turnout.

The formation of this high-level committee signals the KDP's readiness to begin the complex process of coalition building and government formation.
