Syrian opposition forces parade in Aleppo following takeover
As per exclusive footage, Aleppo Citadel, located at the center of the city which has a significant historical value as well, has reportedly fallen into the hands of the Syrian opposition forces.

ERBIL (Kurdistan 24) – As per exclusive video footage obtained by Kurdistan24, Syrian opposition forces, comprising Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) and allied groups, are shown holding military displays in central Aleppo.
The Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS), a U.S. and U.N. designated terrorist organization, and its allied groups are also shown celebrating their control of more than half the city in the video footage.
As per exclusive footage, Aleppo Citadel, located at the center of the city which has a significant historical value as well, has reportedly fallen into the hands of the Syrian opposition forces.
Previously, Rami Abdulrahman, Director of the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR), told Kurdistan24, "Currently, half of Aleppo city is under the control of Hayat Tahrir al-Sham and its allied forces."
He added that "opposition fighters reached Aleppo Citadel without firing a single shot, following the withdrawal of Syrian regime forces."

This is an unprecedented development in the recent events taking place in the region. It also indicates a major shift in the Syrian conflict, particularly in Aleppo.
This is the first time since 2016 that opposition forces have managed to reach the citadel and establish such a significant presence in the city center.
