Kurdish competitor wins Kurdistan Championship for Purebred Arabian Horses

There were five rounds in the competition, so to achieve the first position, competitors had the opportunity to gather points all the way throughout the race.

ERBIL, Kurdistan Region (Kurdistan 24) – In a friendly and nice event, also as a part of the bilateral relations between Kurdistan Region and the UAE, the Kurdistan Championship for Purebred Arabian Horses successfully took place on Friday.

With fully abiding by the terms and condition set by the International Federation of Horseracing Authorities (IFHA), competitors had 80 Arabian horses participated in the competition. 

There were five rounds in the competition, so to achieve the first position, competitors had the opportunity to gather points all the way throughout the race.

A Kurdish competitor who became the champion of the competition by 90.50% points, said “I participated with a mule, its name is Rwbar, it is 2 months old, thank God, I won and gained the first grade”

Hundreds of people who were passionate to horses and horse riding, attended and enjoyed the show.

The Erbil International Horse-riding Club, which is the only recognized club in both Kurdistan Region and Iraq, supervises the horse-riding trainings and trainees.

The Kurdish club’s work is closely watched by the IFHA and has been recognized with having healthy bred and well horses.
