Kurdistan Region Parliament's First meeting on Monday, Dec. 2, 2024

ERBIL, Kurdistan Region (Kurdistan 24) – In a press conference, on Sunday, the Director of the Media Department at the Kurdistan Regional Parliament, Saman Ahmed mentioned that all the necessary steps have been taken as well as the preparations for the first meeting to be held by the 6th round of Kurdistan Regional Parliament, on Monday. 

"The oldest member of parliament will run the meeting, tomorrow, and that will be Ardalan Mohammed Sarspi, who is the Head of the Office (Diwan) at the Kurdistan Region Parliament," Ahmed stated "the candidates will be invited by the speaker of parliament to take the oath." 

According to his statement, the preparations have been made are within the framework of the transparency by the Kurdistan Regional Parliament, in which all departments participated in.

He further added "we will put everything on the table to you, except political topics will not be discussed, but will be left to the political parties," 

Ahmed explained the preparations for tomorrow's meeting include:  

- The Parliament debate hall is ready

- The parliamentary instruction booklet has been prepared in every way

- It is the first time, an MPs-Guide-To-Procedure has been published and will be provided to the candidates before taking office work  

- The Parliament Research Center published the guidebook for the members to get familiar with the parliamentary work and legislating 

- There is a Welcoming Committee, its members are to welcome all the MPs.
